Let’s Dance Studio Captures National Championship Title

Our teams received Platinum, High Gold, and Gold Placements at competitions this year. Our teams also received Overall top awards at the following competitions. The Senior 3 Team received the Overall High Scoring Senior Large Group Award at Star Systems National Talent Competition, Legacy Dance Championships, and Encore DCS. The Senior 1/Jr. 4 Tap Team won the Overall Teen Lg. Group Top Score at Star Systems and Legacy Dance Championships.

All of the teams performed at Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom. Our teams have also performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Florida Citrus Bowl Half-Time Show, Carnival Cruise Lines and the Miss Cabarrus County Scholarship Pageant.

Our teams also hold an annual benefit for the Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center - Northeast and raised $2056.00 this year.The teams also collected & delivered coloring books, crayons, and chapter books to the patients at the children's hospital.

The Hip Hop Team recently performed at the Festival of the Arts in Village Park as a fund raiser for the Cooperative Christian Ministry.

COMPETITION TEAM AUDITION PREPARATION WORKSHOP DATES:
June 15 & 18 and July 8 & 9. If you are considering auditioning for a team, then you will need to attend one of these workshops. The cost for one two-day session is $25.00.

Intermediate 2 Team (ages 7-10) – 5:00-6:00 Jazz, 6:00-7:00 Tap
Junior 3 Team (ages 10-11) 7:00-8:00 Jazz, 8:00-9:00 Tap

Guest Artists from the Broadway Show “WICKED," the untold story of the
Witches from the land of OZ. Adam Sanford & Spencer Jones

Our studio hosted a team workshop with two of the cast members from the touring company from the Broadway show “WICKED.” Wicked tells the story of Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Their friendship struggles through their opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, their reactions to the Wizard's corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba's public fall from grace. The plot is set mostly prior to Dorothy's arrival from Kansas, and also includes several references to well-known scenes and dialogue in the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz.
